Stretch Marks, Stretch Mark are my Biggest Regret
Stretch Marks Are My Biggest Regret
I have some of the ugliest stretch marks known to man. It’s rather disgusting and repulsive. Of all the things I have regretted about letting myself get so overweight, it’s my stretch marks that I regret the most. I have bunch of them along my sides that wrap around my love handles. I also have a few on my lower abdomen. Let me not forget the ones on my arms, although I don’t care about those that much since I have had them for years.
Celebrity Stretch Marks
The average woman may assume that superstar celebrities don't get stretch marks during or after pregnancy. This fallacy is largely due to the fact that people believe that:
- Celebrities have trainers who can whip them into shape during and after pregnancy, which helps them forgo stretch marks
- Stars can afford the high cost of laser surgery for stretch marks that can zap away their skin issues.
While it is true that celebrities can afford to remove stretch marks with surgery, there is no guarantee that surgical enhancements will work. Also, contrary to popular thought, many celebrities choose non-invasive methods of fixing imperfections. They are not willing to take huge risks like surgery unless it is for enhancements like breast augmentation or body shaping – and some celebrities, like Sharon Stone, don't like to fool with it at all.
Yes, celebrity stretch marks are very prevalent, but many women and men who have the knowledge to cover or minimize them do so quite frequently. One of the benefits of being in the limelight is that actors, actresses, musicians and various entertainers run across people who can show them valuable tricks of the trade that can be utilized on a constant basis. From the use of makeup, exercise, or various lotion and stretch mark cream, one can hide celebrity stretch marks so that they are no longer a concern to famous personalities.

Lasser Surgery for Stretch Marks
Effectiveness of laser surgery for stretch marks treatment
This article focuses on the usefulness of stretch mark laser surgery. It will give some insight into what recent studies have found about their effectiveness versus the opinions of practitioners.
A laser is concentrated energy in a beam of light. This beam can selectively transmit its energy onto tissues in order to change them as desired and can be used for a variety of problems, from eruptions to stretch marks. It can even be used in the treatment of eye defects such as nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism. Lasers hold in themselves a material that creates and magnifies light. Two mirrors are used to reflect the light back and forth via this material. This gives rise to a beam that is packed and powerful, composed of one pure color or many different pure colors. These qualities, which distinguish a laser from a light bulb, make the former a useful tool for aesthetic and medical applications.
Striae Stretch Marks
Striae, the dermatology term for stretch marks, are a purple, silvery or red demarcation on the skin surface, usually caused by rapid weight gain or growth. Rapid growth can create an actual tearing of the upper dermis that can occur anywhere, but shows up primarily on the abdomen, breasts, arms, legs, thighs and hips.
Collagen and elastin often break down when body parts grow too fast, causing the striae. Once they occur, striae can be extremely hard to remove.
Striae removal can occur however, and many of the methods can range from the very expensive to the insanely cheap.
