Stretch Mark Removal

  • Stretch marks can be removed or minimized in several natural ways
  • Cocoa butter can help keep the skin moist and is a great choice for prevention, too
  • Toning the area through exercise is also helpful
  • Some natural methods will help lighten, although won’t completely remove, the stretch marks

Stretch marks can be one of the worst parts of having babies. When the skin is expanded rapidly, these marks are left behind once it shrinks back to normal size. While laser treatment is one of the most common medical ways to alleviate these unsightly marks, many women prefer a more natural and affordable approach. Below are five stretch mark removal methods that have worked for many women and may help you, too.

5. Cocoa Butter

One of the most common stretch mark removal cream products on the market is cocoa butter. Cocoa butter has been used for decades by women as a skin moisturizer. It moisturizes the skin because it’s made from vegetable fat taken from cacao beans – the same ones used to make chocolate. The fat adds a layer of moisture to your skin which can help with mild stretch marks and can be very useful in preventing stretch marks from appearing in the first place. Plus, it’s an extremely affordable product.

4. Exercise

Another method of stretch marks removal is exercise. If you do toning exercises that target the area where your stretch marks are located, you can begin to see improvement. That’s because the toning can help re-tighten the area so the stretch marks will smooth out. Combining exercise with one of the other methods for lightening the discoloration can also be helpful.

3. Vitamin E

Look for a stretch mark removal cream that contains Vitamin E. This vitamin has long been known to help improve the look of the skin and to provide a wide array of benefits, including helping to make sunscreen work more effectively. While you can take the vitamin in an oral supplement, using a cream designed for stretch mark removal that contains this vitamin is going to deliver better results. Often lanolin is included in products with Vitamin E, and the two tend to make a good combination that will help reduce the look of the stretch marks.

2. Aloe Vera & Lemon Juice

If you’re looking for an all natural treatment for stretch mark removal, many women swear by combining these two products and rubbing them on the marks daily. Most of us known that Aloe Vera does provide some amazing skin benefits, including helping soothe sunburns and skin irritation, but with the addition of the lemon juice the mixture becomes an effective lightener for the marks. Now this mixture won’t get rid of the marks but can help make them less noticeable which most women are looking for anyway.

1. Peanut Butter

Why does it work? Most people don’t have a clue. It could be some of the vitamins included in the peanut butter or it could be the oils present that help moisturize the skin. Regardless of the reason, many women swear that applying peanut butter to their stretch marks is a good way of making them less visible. If you already have some peanut butter in your home, it’s worth a try. Just remember to use it consistently for a couple of weeks and remember that any improvement is going to be gradual.

My goodness! I had no idea that peanut butter worked on stretch
    marks. That’s fascinating. As a man, I guess I don’t
have to worry about this problem, but my wife soon will as we are
expecting soon. Because she is still a young woman, she is
naturally thinking ahead and looking for ways to fight stretch
marks. That’s why I landed on your site in the first place
(she’s a little distracted right now, as you can imagine).
These all sound like great things to try, and best of all
    they’re rooted in common sense.
